Moraes convoca 1ª Turma para julgar suspensão da plataforma X
O ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), convocou a 1ª Turma da Corte para analisar, em julgamento virtual, sua decisão de suspender a rede social X (antigo Twitter). A sessão virtual começa a partir da meia-noite desta segunda-feira (2) e terá duração de 24 horas. Além de Moraes, a 1ª Turma do STF conta com os ministros Luiz Fux, Cristiano Zanin, Flávio Dino e Carmen Lúcia. A rede social X começou a ser bloqueada pelas operadoras de internet, no território brasileiro, nas primeiras horas deste sábado (31), em cumprimento à decisão de Moraes, do dia anterior, que determinou a suspensão da plataforma. A medida foi tomada após descumprimento ao prazo de 24 horas dado pelo ministro ao bilionário Elon Musk, dono da plataforma, para indicar um representante legal do X no país. No último dia 17 de agosto, Musk anunciou o fechamento da sede da empresa no Brasil e acusou Moraes de ameaça. O anúncio foi feito após sucessivos descumprimentos de determinações do ministro. Entre elas, a que determinou o bloqueio do perfil do senador Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES) e de outros investigados. No post que anunciou a saída do Brasil, o bilionário divulgou uma decisão sigilosa do ministro. O documento diz que o X se negou a bloquear perfis e contas no contexto de um inquérito da Polícia Federal (PF) que apura obstrução de investigações de organização criminosa e incitação ao crime.
